Allcare Pharmacy & Healthcare Services was founded on January 4, 1999, by pharmacists Trent Akins and Robert T. Driggers. Together, they brought to the business more than 35 years of combined retail and hospital pharmacy experience. Allcare Pharmacy & Healthcare Services began with just seven employees and almost immediately Trent and Bert recognized the need for a durable medical equipment division which they began that same year. This division of Allcare Pharmacy & Healthcare Services provides home healthcare items such as hospital beds, custom wheelchairs, oxygen, orthopedic products, diabetic supplies and more. With phenomenal growth, by 2002 Trent and Bert realized that in order to better serve the needs of the community, it was necessary to build a new facility to accommodate a rapidly growing pharmacy, separate compounding pharmacy, a medical equipment division, and more than 20 employees. Groundbreaking began for the new facililty in July 2003, and on January 26, 2004, Allcare Pharmacy & Healthcare Services, with more than 30 employees, opened the doors to the new facility now located at 112 S. Oxley Drive in Lyons (Georgia). The rapid growth and progress of Allcare Pharmacy & Healthcare Services as a leader in the healthcare community is due in part to a firm commitment to put the needs of their patients FIRST!
